Meta Robots Manager lets you set index or noindex and follow or nofollow directives for PrestaShop categories. A rule can optionally extend to products assigned to the category. Manage everything in the module panel without adding theme conditions or editing every product separately.
These settings are useful for auxiliary or temporary catalogue sections, or pages that should not appear in search results.
The panel lists rules and lets you add, edit and delete them. Set default values for new rules and enable or disable the module globally. Directives use the page's native robots value without adding a separate tag.
For example, you can mark an auxiliary category as noindex without applying the decision to its products. Enabling the product option broadens the rule's scope. Before saving, check product assignments, especially for products belonging to several categories.
Noindex tells a search engine that a page should not appear in results. The crawler must be able to read the directive. Blocking the page in robots.txt can prevent that. Index permits indexing but does not guarantee inclusion.
Meta robots does not protect confidential content from users. The module helps apply indexing decisions; assessing content quality, canonical URLs and shop structure remains a separate part of SEO work.
