PrestaShop module to automatically generate llms.txt and llms-full.txt files containing structural store information, products and categories in a clear format for large language models (LLM). This facilitates the AI botom indexing content analysis of the site and then presenting and recommending products from the store in conversation with users.

LLM files and AI resource discovery for multistore

Make your shop catalog available to AI assistants as text. The module creates llms.txt with short descriptions and llms-full.txt with full product and category descriptions, names and page URLs.

Set the shop introduction shown at the beginning of both files and choose whether to include products and categories without descriptions. A visual editor helps you prepare the text. In PrestaShop 1.7-9, content is generated on request for each domain, shop and its default language.

The module also serves /.well-known/ai-catalog.json and /.well-known/ard.json manifests describing the resource according to the ARD specification. They contain a domain-based identifier, capabilities, example queries and a link to the catalog reading guide.

The /.well-known/shop-catalog-skill.md guide points to the LLM files. Links in the page head help agents discover the manifests. Public URLs use separate module controllers and contain no administrator panel path.

In the PrestaShop 1.6 and thirty bees versions, refresh the LLM files with a button or separate CRON controllers protected by a secret token. ARD manifests are generated on request.

1.2.1
  • Added explicit JSON-LD ARD context to the ai-catalog.json and ard.json manifest entries.
  • Completed translations of settings and separate public controller URLs into PL/EN/DE/FR/ES/CS/IT/PT/NL/DA.
1.2.0
  • Added virtual manifests /.well-known/ard.json and /.well-known/ai-catalog.json compliant with the ARD specification and the Lighthouse audit format.
  • Added public catalog access instructions for AI agents, linking to llms.txt and llms-full.txt. The manifest describes the available read-only function.
  • Added rel="ard" and rel="ai-catalog" links in the page header and addresses of new files in the HelperForm panel.
  • Preserved separate multistore domains, names and default languages. LLM file language does not depend on the customer cookie.
  • The update registers the header hook and only completes its own .htaccess rules block, without resetting the settings.
1.1.1
  • Added required H1 header with current store name to llms.txt and llms-full.txt files.
1.1.0
  • Added llms.txt and llms-full.txt virtual routes without saving public files to disk.
  • Adapted the configuration and generated content to multistore.
  • Added .htaccess rules and separate addresses for each store domain.
1.0.0
  • First release of the module.
  • Added file generation for language models based on store, category and product data.

Questions & Answers

What is the difference between llms.txt and llms-full.txt generated by the module?
Shop answer:
The llms.txt file is a shortened version containing product names and short descriptions. The llms-full.txt file is an extended version with full product and category descriptions that gives language models a broader view of the assortment.
Do files need to be updated manually when products are changed?
Shop answer:
NO. They are generated dynamically during reading, so they use current store data and do not require a separate CRON task.
Can I exclude products and categories without descriptions from the generated llms.txt files?
Shop answer:
Yes, there are two switches available in the module configuration panel: "Include products without description" and "Include categories without description". By default, products and categories without descriptions are skipped, ensuring higher quality of data in the file. You can change this if you want to include the entire catalog regardless of the completeness of the descriptions.
