URL Redirects Manager is a module to manage URL redirects directly from the PrestaShop administration panel. Allows you to add, edit, test, import and export redirects without having to modify the .htaccess file or engage the developer on each change of address.

The module works particularly well during store migration, changes in the structure of links, removal of products and categories, content merging and address enhancements that generate 404 errors. With 301 redirections, you can keep the SEO value of old addresses, and 302 redirections allow you to handle temporary campaigns, tests or temporary changes in the directory.

Each redirect can have its own source address, destination address, redirect type, activity status, option to ignore URL parameters and internal note. The module saves redirections in the database, making the list easy to filter, sort and maintain. The administrator also sees the number of hits and the date of last use of the redirect.

Built-in CSV import accelerates the transfer of more addresses, for example after changing the platform, rebuilding the category or importing the redirect map prepared by a SEO specialist. CSV exports, on the other hand, allow you to create copies, analyze redirects outside the store or transfer the list for further work.

Can the destination address lead outside the store?

Yes. The rule can point to an internal page or a full address in another domain.
Does a 301 redirect guarantee maintaining your position in Google?
Shop answer:
It does not provide such a guarantee, but it is the right signal of a permanent change of address. The target address should match the content of the old website, and errors and indexing should be monitored after migration.
